Hardly any other filmography is as intensively dedicated to the life of the indigenous people in the Arctic tundra and the colonial history of Siberia as those of Anastasia Lapsui (1944) and Markku Lehmuskallio (1938). goEast presents a retrospective consisting of seven feature-length films (SKIERRI – LAND OF THE DWARF BIRCHES, IN REINDEER SHAPE ACROSS THE SKY, THE SACRIFICE: A FILM ABOUT A FOREST, SEVEN SONGS FROM THE TUNDRA, BRIDE OF THE SEVENTH HEAVEN, TRAVELLING, TSAMO) as well as a double feature with two medium-length works (ANNA, FATA MORGANA
