Symposium
Kamil, a landowner in Turkestan, has three wives, all of whom have yet to gift him with a child. So he brings home a new young woman, Farida, who wreaks havoc on the large family's daily routines. However, treated badly by Kamil, the women soon form close relationships to one another. In the meantime, the Bolsheviks have seized power and put an end to any remaining local resistance to the new order. An old friend warns Kamil of the advancing Red Army, as it seems the Bolsheviks have another conception of a woman's role in society.
