The delightful old botanic gardens lie right in the centre of the city. But if plans for a big new building go ahead, this oasis of green will be a thing of the past. The prospect is alarming for Johanka and Matyáš, who live in the gardens and don’t want to lose their home with all its plants and animals. Luckily for the children, a magic blue tiger comes to their assistance. Neither of them knows if the tiger is real, or what he’s planning, but they sense that he has the power to change things.
