They spend the following hiding in a forest, dreams of warmth and shelter offering occasional relief from their hunger, exhaustion and fear of death. Němec shows how war, fascist oppression, humiliation and persecution can strip people of their dignity and turn them into animals. The film won prizes at Rotterdam, Oberhausen and Melbourne.
