Precooking meals for the family in the evening, then off to work the night shift (pulling strings, surrounded by a new generation of women), bringing the little one to day-care in the morning, then a blur of shopping-standing in line-tidying up-cooking-ironing-dinner-dishes-setting the alarm. Jadwiga L.’s 24 hours are packed full, but whether they are fulfilling? Declining to add commentary, Gryczełowska’s film leaves that up to the viewer to decide.
