FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH
Symposium
Together, Mara, Ivars, Austra and Gunars constitute a loose circle of friends. They all live in a small Latvian town, in cramped rental apartments. Their everyday lives consist of discussions, arguments, smoking, drinking, watching TV, listening to the radio and little favours for their complex social network. The four of them are all retired and saddled with illness, failed relationships and money troubles. They've paid their dues and don't hold back with hard-earned worldly wisdom. FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH depicts them with unflinching objectivity – as close to reality as you can possibly get in the post-digital year of 2024.
