Father and mother set off on a sailing trip to the other end of the world with their dog Otto. Their two kids, Anna and Erik, stay behind, alone in the family’s Prague apartment, where they experience for the first time what it means to be left entirely to one’s own devices. They take full advantage of their newly gained freedom, whether by doing ill-conceived dares in the elevator, excessive partying every night or Erik’s first brushes with carnal knowledge. Contact with their parents takes place now and then on Skype – until radio silence suddenly descends.
A film about responsibility, the meaning of family, freedom, growing up and a family member on four legs as the last hope in the face of impending doom.
