FC Roma fights harder against discrimination than it does against other football teams. In the lower division where they compete, many clubs refuse to play with or against Roma. When a match finally does take place, the prejudices erupt on the pitch. The club’s two trainers are extremely dedicated to their work: They want to keep their guys away from drugs, to empower them and to strengthen their sense of community. In spite of their efforts, the rejection at the hands of majority society that the players are continually faced with leads to enormous frustration. A multi-layered and intelligent documentary film on deeply rooted everyday racism in the Czech Republic, which frequently leaves the Roma standing on the sidelines.
