Buddy movie meets family drama meets thriller: Goran is a taxi driver with (almost) no customers. In the fairy-tale-like, snow-covered high plains of Croatia, he still manages to lead a happy life with his wife Lina, the daughter of a successful local businessman. The latter doesn’t have a very high opinion of his son-in-law, a notorious stoner and ne’er-do-well. Luckily Goran has his buddies, especially clean-cut Slavko. Alas, a sense of foreboding floats above this white, wintery idyll: something bad is going to happen... Nevio Marasović pulls off a brilliant piece of genre cinema that weaves together suspense, humour and local colour so deftly that viewers have to make sure to remember to catch their breaths from time to time!
