Eva dreams of getting away from her hated village the instant she finishes school. She’s desperate to see the big, wide world, and London will do for starters. Unfortunately, her traditionalist father is spending all his free time building his daughter a house nearby. The teenager finds it hard to stand up to him. She’s also aware that the older sister who married against his will now leads what looks like a rather unhappy life.
