12-year-old Sofija from Belgrade spends her summer holidays with her grandmother Marija. On the Croatian island of Hvar, they visit Marija's sister Luca and the extended family, who Marija hasn't seen since the breakup of Yugoslavia. To be honest, Sofija would rather have gone camping with her friends than spend this time being "monitored" by her grandma. But summer on the island is magical, and a first romantic adventure takes shape. This breezy coming-of-age comedy treats generational differences in a charming manner while illuminating the history of the Yugoslavian conflicts of the 1990s from the perspective of a child on the verge of puberty.
