Film-animator Mait Laas’ documentary examines why it was PARK and NAIL of all films that ended up turning their famous creators Elbert Tuganov and Heino Pars themselves into playthings in the political circus of their time. This film is many things: the biography of two of the progenitors of the grand animated cinema tradition of tiny Estonia, a celebration of their workplace – the nukufilm studios – and last but not least a declaration of love for two sincere individuals who defied those nefarious puppeteers of the 20 century, Stalin, Hitler & Co.: through (puppet) animation of all things!
