Documentary about the renowned Russian director Kira Muratova, who has already visited goEast with several of her films (2001 “Golden Lily” for VTOROSTEPENNYE LJUDI / SECOND CLASS-PEOPLE) and whose most recent .lm NASTROJŠÈIK / THE TUNER is in this year’s competition (2005). Aside from Muratova, many of her collaborators and companions like Aleksandr Sokurov and Andrzej Wajda appear, sharing their own view of the director’s works and character. In addition, the film uses clips to shed light on her subjects and the motifs of her work. Documentary-filmmaker Vladimir Nepevnij made a name for himself with portraits of directors, among them Dziga Vertov.
