MALLORY
Czech Cinema Now!
Things are dramatic and drastic from the get-go (after 13 years of friendship): Mallory calls up “her” director, in total desperation, her eyes (and that of the camera) gazing deep into the background. It’s not the first time that she has wished to end her life spent between normalcy and the street. Mallory is strong and open, she knows punks and bikers, rebels against the petty bourgeoisie and established parties, gets off of drugs, loves and is loved, and yet she fails to be a woman, to feel human. A film about consciousness – and its obliteration.
