Based on a fantasy novel by Sergej Lukjanenko, NOÈNOJ DOZOR presents the eternal battle, sufficiently known from similar extravaganzas, between Good and Evil. This time, however, the forces of light and darkness collide within a complex plot narrated at breakneck pace, and the characters depicted are anything but black-and-white. We are treated to no end of special effects, action and blood. The film plays in present-day Moscow, where magic is apparently part of workaday Russian life: Jealous husbands turn to witches for help, the kindly neighbour just happens to be a vampire, and selfish daughters can jeopardise the welfare of entire cities.
