ROCKING THE NATION

Symposium

DOPPELPROGRAMM

Nationalist rock music is regarded as a mainstay of the Jobbik party in Hungary. From 2005 to 2007, Borbala Kriza accompanied a leading representative of the genre: Balázs Sziva, lead singer of Romantikus Eroszak (“Romantic Violence”). In 2009, he helped forge the alliance of national movements in Hungary. In the course of very personal conversations, during concerts, encounters with fans, a tour of Transsylvania (viewed, like Vojvodina in Serbia, as rightfully part of “Greater Hungary”) and interviews with other protagonists, Kriza penetrates deep into the structures and mental patterns of the nationalist right.
