The famous psychotherapist Ruben Brandt suffers from nightmares. Paintings haunt his soul and his sleep, so he resolves to team up with four of his patients to steal 13 famous works of art from the most renowned museums and exhibitions in the world. “The Collector”, as he is known, soon becomes one of the world’s most-wanted criminals. Private detective Mike Kowalski is not only hot on Brandt’s trail, he’s also long dreamt of catching repeat offender Mimi, a member of Brandt’s crew of thieves. A rollicking chase ensues through a world saturated with significant artworks, while a magnifying glass is held to the human psyche in the process.
