Journalist Sofiko is interested in people's everyday lives: she loves her work, her husband and her kids, and helps others whenever she possibly can. And yet: forced to choose, she picks her career – and her husband turns to his younger mistress. Now, Sofiko is counting on her interviews to explain life to her, this mosaic of female voices, which couldn't be more different from one another. Even though she believes herself to be part of a new generation, flashbacks reveal how she is marked by the history of her country – while providing insight into the director's own family history.
