The musician Abdul Bekmamadov came to Russia to work. He found a job but his life is still anything but easy, marked as it is by heavy physical stress and frequent moves from one accommodation to the next. After ten years he is able for the first time to visit his family back home in the snow-covered Pamir mountains of Tajikistan. In his songs he works through his longing, everyday worries and his love for nature and people.
