Budapest, 1913. A civilization on the brink of disaster. Oscar® winner László Nemes (SON OF SAUL) has chosen this setting for a historical costume drama unfolding like a mysterious fever dream. Young Iris Leiter comes to the city to take up employment as a milliner in the tradition-rich store that once belonged to her parents, before they lost their lives there under enigmatic circumstances. When the current owner declines to hire Iris in spite of her efforts, she sets out in search of her past. In the process, she stumbles upon a secret that will lead her into the highest circles of Austro-Hungarian society.
