Suzy is a dancer in a revue theatre, but she'd rather be a teacher. Her friend Anny dreams of a career as a showgirl, but Anny's father, Baron von Aspen, is strictly opposed to the notion. When Suzy and Anny travel to London at the same time, they spontaneously resolve to switch places. Suzy attends a posh boarding school in Anny's stead, while the latter quickly becomes a revue star at her new dance school. As SUZY SAXOPHONE, she dances gingerly through the absurd twists and turns of her double life – until a romance with an English lord threatens to expose her daring ruse. Intoxicating Jazz-Age cinema, staged with humour, energy and a keen sense of rhythm.
with
musical accompaniment by Uwe Oberg (piano) and Ulrike
Schwarz (saxophone/flute).
