TANGO

Symposium

A ball bounces into what is at first an empty room. The child that comes to retrieve the toy is gradually joined by more and more people who link up their various activities without touching each other then move apart. All this is done with the dance movements of the tango. The entire bandwidth of life in all its triviality, makeshiftness and occasional highlights processes past the viewer. Rybczyński describes the cycles of the society of the masses as a grotesque ballet, the conjured-up collective breaks up into nothing but egomaniacal individual actions.
