Many Catholic Albanians live and work in Croatia; some have been there for 20 years or longer, others are seasonal labourers. And while the second or third generation of Albanian immigrants dream of emigrating to the USA or Australia, their parents and grandparents still believe that there’s no place like home – even if many of them have done very well “abroad”.
