Young Delia Fratila travels to Bucharest with her parents to take possession of a car that she has won. Alas, upon arrival, it becomes apparent that this retrieval mission will be more difficult than she suspected. Her trophy brings out cravings in others. The prize sponsor mistreats Delia during a shoot for a commercial and her parents pressure her to sell the vehicle. Conflict is inevitable, and soon Delia’s parents are even threatening to disown her. With a healthy dose of humour, Radu Jude caricatures capitalism, revealing its absolute absurdity and pointing out that the hunger for money is also perfectly capable of devouring the family unit.
