Lara works as an air hostess for a Russian airline. The young, beautiful woman spends half her life traveling, in anonymous hotels, and at dreary airports. Her professional life’s restlessness is also mirrored by Lara’s relationships. Although numerous men adore her, she hasn’t been ready for a steady commitment yet. This changes when one day she meets Gregory, a well-known TV journalist with a promising career. After their first night together she already knows that he is the man of her life. But her feelings scare him, even though he notices as well that his feelings for Lara are deeper than he likes. Again and again he hesitates when it comes to showing his love to her. Only when she threatens to leave him Gregory realizes his feelings for Lara. Too late: Lara doesn’t show up for the agreed date – instead a colleague appears with tears in her eyes: There was a fire on the plane, with Lara’s help all passengers could be rescued but she herself died in the hospital from her severe burnings.
