Tomasz Piątek pays an unannounced visit to an inn out in the middle of a snow-covered no man’s land, where he proceeds to verbally accost some of the individuals he encounters, while waxing philosophical with others. The next morning he vanishes into the snow, headed for the mountains, without saying goodbye and without taking any sort of gear or protection from the cold with him. A rescue party is hastily assembled. The desire for self-determination and being alive serves as the emotional anchor of this equally entertaining and thoughtful work.
