A traditional Croatian Christmas celebration is just around the corner: mother, father and adult son are decorating the tree and preparing the food. They're waiting for an uncle, who is travelling from Germany especially for the occasion, driving his Mercedes-Benz and bearing great gifts. Everything could be perfect – if not for the fact that the turkey spent too little and the Christmas cookies a little too much time in the oven, and if it weren't soon obvious that both Christmas celebration and uncle are not what they appear to be. THE UNCLE rapidly evolves into a claustrophobic chamber drama.
