TIGERS IN THE CITY

Beyond Belonging

“Badger” is in love with Kuznikovova. “Hyena” adores Jane, who’s only got eyes for her boxing coach. “Dove” isn’t quite sure what he wants. It’s summer in Bratislava and the heat is on in more ways than one. But what appears to be a romantic comedy soon develops into a deadly cat-and-mouse game in which the menace comes from contract killers and tigers from the zoo. But above all TIGERS IN THE CITY plays with stereotypical expectations: just as Badger, whose deep masculine voice takes us through the film, is played by a woman, plenty else is not what it seems at first.
