WHITE GOD

Europe Europe

When a law is passed in Hungary declaring mixed-breed dogs undesirables and rendering their owners subject to high fines, Lili’s father is so upset that he decides to abandon her dog Hagen. This marks the beginning of an incredible journey for the former pet, one that leads from the dangerous life on the streets and shady animal dealers all the way to the world of dogfighting, before Hagen and a pack of other disgraced four-legged friends finally strike back by taking control of Budapest. WHITE GOD functions both as a parable of xenophobic currents in our society and as a gripping fantasy thriller. The film was realised without special effects and with an ensemble cast of several hundred canines.
